After publishing two blog posts on TechBuzz.in on the morning of March 30th, 2025, at 10 AM, I’ve set out on an important experiment—tracking how quickly Google indexes my content. This will provide valuable insights into how search engine crawlers interact with a blog that has been inactive for years.
Why Is This Important?
Search engines like Google use bots (often referred to as crawlers or spiders) to scan and index websites. The frequency of this indexing depends on various factors, including how often new content is published and how active the blog has been historically.
TechBuzz.in’s last post was in 2020, meaning it has been five years since the blog was actively updated. As a result, Google’s crawlers may not have been visiting frequently. Now that the blog is being revived, the key question is: How long will it take for Google to recognize and index the new content?
The Experiment: Checking Indexing Frequency
To track this, I’ll be searching for my blog posts on Google every 3-4 hours to see when they appear in the search results. This will help determine how quickly Google’s bots respond to the revived activity on TechBuzz.in. Here’s what I’ll be focusing on:
- How long it takes for Google to index my new blog posts
- When the updated site title and tagline appear in search results
- How indexing frequency changes over time as I continue publishing new content
What This Means for Bloggers & SEO Enthusiasts
For anyone restarting an old blog, this experiment provides a real-time look at how Google adapts to revived content. If a blog has been inactive for a long time, search engines may take longer to recognize updates. However, with consistent publishing and proper SEO strategies, the indexing speed is expected to improve over time.
I’ll continue monitoring and documenting these changes, and hopefully, we see our posts indexed today! Stay tuned for updates as I analyze the results and share insights on how bloggers can speed up indexing and improve their blog’s search visibility.
Let’s see how quickly TechBuzz.in gets back into Google’s radar!
Update :
To answer the question : How long it takes for Google to index my new blog posts — It took about 11 hours for our posts that we published in the morning to get indexed.
However the site title is yet to get updated.
